Microsoft is releasing a new SharePoint feature for global navigation experience called the SharePoint app bar. This is a new side panel that they are implementing across all SharePoint sites.
The SharePoint app bar is a significant release for Microsoft and will change the user experience and architecture for your normal SharePoint tenant.

Release Information
- Microsoft indicates this feature is still under development, but is currently scheduled to release in May 2021.

- This feature has not yet been released by Microsoft. However, if you have enabled the "targeted release" feature, you will see this feature before its official release date. You can configure these settings in your admin center.
